Lok Engineering is a structural engineering
firm, based in Oakland, California that services the entire San Francisco
Bay Area. We specialize in the design of residential buildings and work on
a wide range of projects, the majority of which include
Seismic Retrofits, Decks, Retaining Walls, Accessory Dwelling Units
(ADU), Remodels, and New Construction. During the design process, we collaborate with all design consultants
to discuss strategies for providing the best structural solution for the
project's specific needs. We work with contractors during the construction
phase and provide quick responses to RFIs and solutions to
construction-related issues that arise. From the preliminary design phase
to the construction phase, we are committed to providing the highest
quality service to our clients.

Our Process
Consultation
Send photos, plans, or sketches for our review. We will address any questions or concerns via phone, videochat, or email.
Proposal
Once we have an understanding of your needs, we will send a detailed proposal for the scheduled work.
Turnaround
Your project will be worked on right away. Depending on the scope of the project, it may take a day or a few weeks. We will provide an estimate of completion.
Permitting
Structural drawings and engineering calculations will be provided, which can be submitted to the city to obtain the required permits.
